For a couple of years now I’ve been making friends with our sous vide. I’m also trying to expand my horizons into cooked fish. Generally, I don’t do cooked fish : it’s too easy to overdo and it tastes “not so good” once it hits that dry stage. The sous vide on the other hand has removed that fear, so cooked salmon is a now more common occurrence at our house. Shane’s still out on it, but someone else has discovered a taste for it.
I was worried a whole filet might be too much for him. He put it down like it was going out of style.

G’s latest school assignment was a project on immigration. Each kid had to interview an immigrant in their family, and I guess lucky for him one of them was his parent 🙂
It was a multi-part assignment and the last bit was do to a presentation… in the first person, speaking AS the individual they interviewed. They were even encouraged to dress as their interview.
So… to be me, G wore jeans. Yes. I’m predictable. I’ll take it.

We started our annual pumpkin trip with lunch. Griffin’s face lit up when I told him this was a lunch option. I think he’s more stoked for clams than the rest.

Storm and I went to see Dav Pilkey tonight. He’s a big fan of the “Dog Man” series, so he god a big kick out of it.
I, on the other hand, got a whole new appreciation for this author.

G’s a big fan of American Ninja Warrior. Although I looked for local gyms to give him a “like” experience I turned empty. As a result, we’ve build some of our own obstacle courses in our living room. However, as luck would have it, Shane, in conversation with a local parent learned about King’s Camps… so here we are. Celebrating G turning 10, American Ninja style.
