As I put S2 down to bed tonight we had this exchange:
Me: Can we snuggle?
S2: Yeah!
(I put my arm around him)
Me: I love you!
S2: I love you too! We’re best friends!

I think we have the only kid that hates the beach: he thinks it’s too loud and being there freaks him out. Checking out the seals didn’t really keep him motivated for long either.

G and S2 are watching an episode of Cat In the Hat. The segment is about hibernation where Nick and Sally meet Boris the Bear. G asks: “Mommy, why isn’t the bear eating them?”
Conveniently, Cat In the Hat doesn’t address that 🙂
Family portrait
On the heals of yesterday’s post of G’s illustration of me, last night he drew us a portrait of our family. Check out, S — comes complete with beard and mustache. Also Zoe’s rockin’ a nice tail. We now come with toes (5 on each foot)… although I’m unsure why I am granted the longest toes of anyone. Hmn…

Yesterday the boys were doing some art, and I asked G to draw me a picture of me. He turned around and gave me THIS!
Isn’t it awesome?
He kinda blew me away by drawing feet, and then hands. More so, he started drawing fingers. At first he drew 4 on one hand, but then as he drew the other hand, he stopped himself, counted how many fingers he had made and made sure each side counted 5. AND he gave me ears. I’m a proud lady here!
S2 contributed to the drawing by coloring it in 🙂 G did the outline, S2 followed over with color… while his brother wasn’t looking. I want to be mad at the little dude for mucking with his brothers’ work, but it’s actually kinda neat to have this (unintentionally by G) “joint” piece of artwork.
