    The sleepy-time edition

    July 10th, 2012

Today, because it’s Tuesday (and somehow I have the hardest time waking up on Tuesday), I’m dedicating this post to sleep. Presenting 3 images, all taken the same day interestingly enough.
As a side note, have you ever had the creepy feeling someone is watching you while you sleep? Yeah, this is definitely the case in our house. And we not only watch. We take photos. In other words, if you spend the night over, you’ve been cautioned to NOT sleep in the buff! Anyway…

Exhibit A: one of the cutest moments I’ve had with G to date. He got in trouble the night before and had to spend the night in his room, no TV. He crawled in bed with us the next morning, snuggled up to me and asked to hold my hand. I scooped him closer and snuggled. Instead he gave me a big hug and we fell back asleep together. Like this.

Exhibit B: should you have doubts on Darwin’s Origin of Species, and our linkage to primates, I present to you the following image.

This, my friends, is what you get with a tired preschooler. He climbed our eliptical and decided that it would make an excellent place for a nap. I’ve told you he’s not a morning person. He’s SO hard to wake up in the morning, let alone get out of bed. I get a mopy, sleepy mess, zombi-ing around the house in search for a place to hide and crash. The eliptical definitely wins for originality.

Exhibit C: Finally a snuggle nap for S2 and me. We had a play-date out in the East Bay and I was exhausted by the time we got home. Of course little monkey napped the whole ride home, but woke up way before I was ready for him to be. So we snuggled on the couch. He’s not interested in TV. Hasn’t been until now, anyway, but I really needed 20 minutes, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I put Thomas on, and he was entertained enough for 15 minutes to let me get an exceptionally quick cat snooze. Quick enough that I had no idea, S was overhead, craning from the top floor to get this picture.

    I think I want a nap now.
