Foto Friday

He asked to sit on the potty just so I can take his photo. And as soon as I was done, he got off. I call cheetsies

This used to be MY cow as a kid. Now S2 wants to snuggle with it. The mommy in me says “Aw!”. The three yr old in me says “Mine!”

G played against an adult at table hockey… and won

Bunny ears. It’s the new In thing to wear

Last nap in the crib

S2 spent his last night in the crib last Saturday. I wasn’t ready to chase after a toddler that doesn’t want to nap anyway in a big-kid-bed at the turn of the week-end, so I managed to convince Shane to wait until Sat afternoon to do the switch-out. He took to it pretty well. Of course the true test comes in this week-end when we try to get him to nap mid-day. Pray for us ;p

Meanwhile, here is S2’s last nap in the crib.

I won’t lie, I was choking up and holding back the tears breaking down his crib. One of the last few remaining baby relics.

Movie Monday (aka Spring Sing)

This past Friday was the kids’ preschool annual Spring Sing.  Both our monkeys “performed”. I’m quoting performed here, because as soon as S2 got on stage he froze-up. Yep, my balls-out, happy-go-lucky kid has stage-fright. So much so that one of his teachers had to move his limbs around. For his set, G chewed on his hands the whole time.

The performance itself sounded marginally worse than a chorus of cats in hear. But I love it! Because they’re my kids… and I gotta ;p Now I’m making you watch it too.

Someone is happy with his balloon snake:

The balloon pop game. G got a ball.

S2 chose himself a rubber duck

That he proceeded to shove as far back into his mouth (to itch those pesky molars)

School photos

Yep, still cheesy. But how in the world do they cooperate with THAT photographer, and refuse to be anything close to “cute” for our family portraits? Oh, and this may be the only image of the two of them together, standing next to each other where a choke-hold is not involved. Again, WHAT?!?!?

An S2 medley

What S2 was singing in the car today:

Old McDonald Had a cow
With a Moo Moo there
With a Moo Moo there
With a Moo Moo there

Five Little Monkeys jumping on the bed
One bumped head

He may become a DJ some day.

Thank goodness for our King-sized bed

I go to sleep every night next to one man.

I wake up most mornings next to three.

Trust me, there’s not as much partying going on in there as you could imagine. Unless by party you are thinking hanging off the side of your bed for dear-life, because the two shortest sleepers are resting on the diagonal, and you have an inch of head room left for yourself.

Thank goodness we have a King-sized bed!!!! How does any family with children survive without one?

Still, this is all welcome for me because my sleeping kids are cute, cuddly, and I know this snuggle time (when they crawl into our bed at 4am in the morning) is going to be short-lived.

I’d like a few less kicks to the head though, OK?
