From the fair the other week. G did some sliding:

(btw, thank you oblivious parent for standing RIGHT in front of me at the most opportune moment. I’m sure my honkin’ huge lens was easy to miss.)

and pet some animals:

run from the town mascot

and ride a little train. But S2 needed to eat then, so my hands were otherwise occupied.
S fulfilled his life-long dream of imitating a hamster… except he didn’t really manage to run in his wheel.

S2 spent most of our visit sleeping 🙂
“Hey, Ma! This baby keeps copying everything I do!”

For S2’s 6m photo-shoot I asked Kelly to capture a few moments of me with S2 that mean a lot to me: bath-time and dinner-time. Those are mostly 1:1 time for the two of us, and it’s something I really want to remember. She did a great job.
AND she also took an amazing photo of all of us together (including the blur that was G 3 months ago). Thank you, Kelly!

You can see the full set here.
S2 LOOOOVES him a tasty toe snack before bed-time. As soon as his cloth diaper comes off, and those feet are in range, he’s all for it.

Of course, not to be out-done, when G heard about his younger brother’s flexible skills, he decided to show us he could (still) do it too. Observe the happy squeals coming from the young dude on my left. I think S2 was egging his older brother on.

See all the glorious moments I get to document while sitting in between the boys while in the car?
In G’s preschool room there’s a large bulletin boards with all the kids and their favorite sayings. You have kids that rave about their favorite colors, or being proud of their brothers. G’s favorite saying? “No!” That’s my kid alright!

Spit apparently is funny. Although I’m (personally) leaning toward gross.

This is also a good reminder for me to NOT have my (new) phone camera turned vertical while recording. Sorry!
(while playing our “Name an animal” game)
S: Gazelle
G: No. That’s no how you say it.
S: How do you say it then?
G: GaZELLE
Apparently, you need to scream out the second half of Giselle. We all had it wrong. Including Merriam-Webster.
“Can you hear me now?” G and S talking. To each other.

S2 on the other hand got to chill with his buddy D. D not having been around dudes his size was very intrigued. He wanted to spoon,

check out the competition,

and pull on some ears.

S2, on the other hand, got tired of the last part of that inspection pretty fast.

How we spent our Easter Sunday.
G played hide and seek with me

… and his baby:

He gave it hugs

and milk

“I no spill it, Mama. I no spill it!”

He changed it’s diaper

and poked it’s belly-button

Meanwhile, S2 made faces at Daddy

And I got to stay in my pajamas all day. It doesn’t get much better than this!

This morning I woke up to the soft snoring sounds of this duo:

The only thing that would be missing to describe an average morning for us these days is the other half of the bed. Where I would be sleeping, half-reclined, with S2 snuggled under my arm.
G’s been coming in, in the early mornings, carrying his friends, and last week, even a pillow (as if we didn’t have enough). It’s not that restful of sleep for us (especially S) since he still thrashes around a lot and does things like … sleep sideways. S has to constantly wrestle him back on the bed so he doesn’t fall off. Observe his well stretched arm cupping G’s butt — it’s his sleep state of protection.
I’m shocked that with all the photos I took this morning and my flash going off they didn’t wake up. But they’re sure cute though, no? Even with all the crusty nose boogies 🙂
