Prepare to “Awwww!”
[while driving home from soccer today]
S2: Mommy, I need tape for your heart
Me: What? Which heart?
S2: Your heart — when G breaks is when he’s being mean
Me: Aw, buddy!
S2: Yeah, and then I won’t laugh!
It’s the little things 🙂
A very special movie event today: G reads. And I mean REALLY reads. He can recite from memory pretty well, but watching him read out words and random and sound things out gives me hope, and a great deal of pride.
Best part is he’s excited. He’s talking about waking up early to read, and going to bed early to practice some more. I lost him at “waking up early”. So not him!
But, please, DO watch this. It’s a little long, but if you’re into G milestones, this will hopefully make you proud too 🙂

We’ve successfully bribed both of our children with a big reward upon successful completion of potty training. Successful completion = 5 days accident free. G got a big, yellow Bruder crane. S2? He got legos. He asked for Buzz Lightyear and Woody Legos. Luckily for me these things exist. UNluckily for me, at $12 each, they are the most expensive Lego “men” he’s received. These suckers better not get lost ;p Although I will say that even combines, he’s still a cheaper date than G’s crane.
Yesterday, G told us that he’s ALREADY gone to 7 separate schools since he was born:
- my belly: this is where he learned to drink and eat
- the place he was before the “toddler room”
- the toddler room
- Ms. Shabriese’s room
- Dardar’s room
- Ms. Humdun’s class
- Ms. Collins’ class
Just you wait, kid. Just you wait.
Side note: I appreciated hearing that my uterus was an educational experience.
